

A Term Adjunct position is open at the Smith School of Business for an instructor to teach in the new Global Online Master of Business Administration program. The position is to teach the Leading with Integrity Course, MBAS 850, which is an MBA core course taught during the fall 2026 term. Teaching this course will include live, synchronous delivery totalling 70% of a 15 hour, 1.5 unit course. Teaching for this course will take place from the Smith Studio.
In addition, faculty are being asked to curate a 30% portion of asynchronous content in this program. Support from Smith’s Centre for Content Development will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to teach 100% of one (1) section of MBAS 850 with an anticipated enrollment of approximately 50 students.
The course is described as follows:
This course covers the foundations of effective leadership with an emphasis upon improving your leadership competencies while also enhancing your integrity as a future leader. The course will enhance your self-awareness regarding your own leadership style and ethical decision-making, encouraging you to be reflective and developing your ability to adopt alternative viewpoints. We will also cover essential leadership theories and practices with the goal of building your repertoire of effective leader behaviors. We will cover this material across several contexts including leading purpose-driven organizations, leading inclusively, and leading positive organizational transformations.
Compensation
The salary for a term adjunct teaching one section of a course is $13,856 (excluding vacation pay). This salary is pro-rated based on course credit.
Qualifications include: a Master’s degree or Ph.D., several years of familiarity and experience in effective leadership, and experience teaching university courses.
