Building WorkCover’s Data Future
As part of this transformation, WorkCover is establishing a new Data Office to uplift data maturity across the organisation. This collaborative, customer centric and outcomes focused function brings together specialist leads across governance and quality, working as one integrated team.
Moving away from a traditional centralised model, the Data Office operates through partnership and collaboration, embedding with business and delivery teams to enable trusted, governed data that supports both business-as-usual excellence and future capability.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Data Office, the Lead, Data Office Governance is accountable for ensuring WorkCover’s data is clearly defined, appropriately owned and governed in line with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
As the organisation’s authority on data governance, you set direction and provide expert guidance on how data should be managed across its lifecycle. You work across business units and transformation teams to influence decision making, uplift governance capability and ensure governance is embedded into everyday practice enabling data to be managed as a trusted strategic asset.
