Ngā Pātaka Kōrero o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Libraries) have a strong community focus, and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland. Our Senior Library Assistant - Collections plays a vital part within our library team ensuring that our libraries provide a world-class customer experience that is second to none.This role sits within the Metadata and Supply team. The team is involved with all aspects of preparing library material to be added to our collections, this includes the creation of metadata to describe and classify materials, processing and labelling of material, invoicing, and the full life-cycle of Serials Management.
This role requires a passion for making a difference in the library and a strong, people-focused work ethic. Attention to detail and an ability to look for innovations and new ways of working is important in this role.
This is a permanent full time 40-hour position working Monday – Friday based in central Library. This is a senior role that needs you to step up and take the lead with problem-solving and innovation.
