Rowmark Ski Academy and Junior Program Overview
Founded as a division of Rowland Hall in 1982, Rowmark Ski Academy is a rigorous, year-round alpine ski racing program, coupled with an extraordinary academic experience. Consistently recognized as one of the country’s top ski-racing academies, Rowmark was one of the first clubs designated for US Ski & Snowboard’s Gold Certification level and has turned out many Olympians, World Champions, and NCAA All-Americans.
Rowmark Ski Academy athletes are full-time ninth through twelfth graders at Rowland Hall. Rowmark also offers a Junior Program, a three-tiered developmental program open to Rowland Hall students in third through eighth grades.
Rowmark athletes race in the Intermountain Division of US Ski & Snowboard and train at Utah Olympic Park and Park City Mountain Resort's 2002 Olympic Race Arena.
Position Summary
Rowmark Ski Academy is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and collaborative Team Manager to support both its Junior Program and Academy divisions. This full-time role is central to the success of the program, ensuring that operations run smoothly and that athletes, coaches, and families have the structure, resources, and communication needed to maximize ski racing performance while maintaining strong academic achievement. Serving as a key liaison among athletes, families, coaches, and Rowland Hall faculty and staff, the Team Manager helps student-athletes effectively balance the demands of competitive skiing and school.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Financial & Administrative Management
Manage and track budgets for the Rowmark Academy and Junior programs
Perform monthly reconciliation of team credit card transactions
Process monthly billing for athlete accounts and coordinate program-related expenses
Execute, maintain, and update program contracts, forms, and handbooks
Ensure compliance with U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership, insurance, and CLIP requirements
Track and ensure membership compliance for staff, athletes, and parent advisory board
Operations & Program Coordination
Oversee daily operations of the Rowmark office, ensuring efficient, organized, and smooth program functioning
Coordinate logistics for camps, competitions, and team travel in collaboration with coaches and the Director
Maintain and update athlete travel schedules across school divisions
Plan and execute key events, including Orientation Weekend, Fall Banquet, and Spring Awards Banquet
Manage the Rowmark vehicle fleet, including maintenance, registration, and scheduling
Coordinate team apparel, merchandise ordering, and distribution
Support travel logistics, equipment coordination, and program operations
Obtain CDL within six months of hire and assist with transportation as needed
Work flexible hours to support events, travel, training, and competition schedules
Contribute to a positive, organized, and high-functioning team environment
Communication & Community Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes, families, faculty, and staff
Maintain consistent, proactive communication regarding schedules, updates, and program activities
Write and share program highlights and athlete achievements for school publications
Coordinate alumni communications in partnership with others
Academic & Student Support
Serve as liaison between Rowmark and school divisions regarding student-athlete academic progress
Communicate regularly with teachers and staff about absences, performance, and support needs
Monitor academic progress and coordinate additional support when needed
Organize and supervise study hall sessions for Middle School athletes during the winter season
Marketing & Program Visibility
Create and manage engaging content for social media and web platforms to promote the program
Partner with the Digital Communications Manager to enhance brand visibility and storytelling
Maintain and update the Rowmark website
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budget tracking, expense monitoring, and billing processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with students, families, coaches, faculty, and administrators
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with the Director, coaches, student-athletes, parents, school staff, and faculty
Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Proficiency with technology, preferred experience with Google, social media platforms, and school-based systems (e.g., Veracross, Canvas)
Ability to manage and support both developmental and high-performance (elite) athletic programs
Experience supporting youth athletic programs and/or student-athletes balancing academic and athletic commitments preferred
Experience coordinating team travel, logistics, and program operations preferred
Prior ski racing experience or familiarity with competitive ski programs preferred
Additional Information
This is a full-time exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package included, beginning July 1, 2026, and reports to the Director of Rowmark Ski Academy. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
