The Northside Community Guest Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. In this vital role, you’ll support residents’ physical and emotional well-being through high-quality nursing care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
Deliver holistic nursing care based on individual resident needs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor and document residents’ conditions, reporting changes as needed
Supervise and support nursing assistants
Communicate effectively with RNs, doctors, and care teams
Participate in care planning, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Promote a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and staff
Maintain residents’ rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
What You Bring
LPN Diploma and active registration in Nova Scotia
Certification in Pharmacology & Drug Administration (if not covered in your program)
CPR Level C and current WHMIS
Physical assessment skills
Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills
Experience in long-term care or similar setting is an asset
