Join BCI's Capital Markets & Credit Investments team as an Administrative Assistant.
We're looking for a proactive, organized administrative professional to support our Capital Markets & Credit Investments (CM&CI) team in Victoria—a dynamic group managing $165B in global investments across credit, equities, fixed income, and alternative strategies. You'll be the go-to person keeping our Senior Managing Directors and investment teams running smoothly, juggling everything from coordinating meetings across multiple time zones to arranging international travel and onboarding new talent.

Reporting to the Manager, Capital Markets & Credit Investments, the Administrative Assistant is a key member of the CM&CI team, helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness by providing a wide variety of administrative functions to a professional team. They provide world class administrative support to CM&CI Senior Managing Directors and the broader department.
The Capital Markets & Credit Investments (CM&CI) department manages C$165B of Capital Markets & Credit Investments (56% of total net AUM of BCI). The department invests globally across Credit, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Absolute Return Strategies, with investment teams located in BCI's global offices in Victoria, Vancouver, New York, and London. As a leader in responsible investing, CM&CI actively integrates ESG factors into investment analysis and decision-making processes across all strategies.
2+ years of administrative or business experience in a fast-paced professional services environment
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
High degree of professionalism and discretion with the ability to exercise judgement
Ability to work with minimal structure or direction
Ability to accommodate working styles and perspectives of diverse individuals, successfully managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
The ability to work with a diverse range of investment and non-investment professionals in a well-organized and proactive manner is imperative.
Drive to take on varying responsibilities and adapt to changing situations with minimal notice and guidance
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Schedules external & internal meetings, calls and video conferencing with multiple time zones and participants, ensuring optimal usage of time
Communicates with assistants across departments and offices to check and confirm availability for participants
Manages complex international and domestic travel arrangements and creates travel itineraries, books flights, hotels and travel visas
Reconciles monthly spending/expenses related to department travel by way of expense reimbursement claims and credit card reconciliations.
Assists in the onboarding of new employees and co-ops to the CM&CI team
This role will be based in our office in downtown Victoria, BC.
The annualized salary range for this role is CAD $62,000 - $67,000.

The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity. We aim for actual pay to be around the market median for expected performance and the upper quartile for excellent performance. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and expertise.
