Rehabilitation Consultant (contractor) - Remote

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a Contractor basis. To be successful in this role, you must have your own proprietary limited ABN.

You will be assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and well-being. You’ll be managing a portfolio of cases including Workers Compensation, Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) and Workplace Health & Safety Assessments.

• As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you are an integral piece of someone’s recovery, you support them through their rehab journey and guide them through the process.
• Assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and wellbeing.
• Managing a portfolio of cases including Workcover TAS and MAIB claims.
• Undertake assessments such as initial needs assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments.
• Collaborate and liaise with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
• Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
• Document case notes as part of your reporting, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Establish and uphold a standard of excellence while driving regional growth
• The role will suit someone who can build and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

About you

• At least 3 year of Occupational Rehabilitation Consulting experience
• Workcover TAS Legislative knowledge.
• Injury Management Coordinator (IMC) Registration with WorkSafe Tasmania qualification preferred but not essential
• You must hold the same values as us You must hold a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehab Counselling or Psychology, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiologist
• AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation and have a passion for helping people
• Hold a full driver's license and access to own car
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
