We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Cherrybrook Medical Centre. Reporting to an experienced Practice Manager, the Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our patients and responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting our doctors and staff with administrative tasks.
This is a part-time role of 18 hours a week across the week as required, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Verify patient information accurately using Best Practice software
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and relay messages promptly and accurately
- Support doctors and staff members with administration tasks
- Process billing and payments in line with business requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Update medical documentation as necessary
- Resolve patient concerns effectively while providing exceptional customer service
Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Ability to work a variety of days and times, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Best Practice.
