Wirraka Maya Health Services Aboriginal Corporation (WMHSAC) based in Port Hedland is seeking an experienced and values-driven Social Emotional and Wellbeing (SEWB) Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, culturally safe services to Aboriginal people and community.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands that social and emotional wellbeing is foundational to strong individuals, families and communities — and who can lead services that balance cultural integrity, clinical excellence and community connection.
About the Organisation
Wirraka Maya Health Services Aboriginal Corporation (WMHSAC) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service established by community, for community, to address the health, social and cultural needs of Aboriginal people across the Pilbara region.
With thousands of Aboriginal people registered and actively engaged, the service delivers integrated primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing programs, prevention initiatives and education pathways. Services are delivered by a committed team including Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners, GPs, Nurses, Psychologists, Counsellors, Allied Health professionals and dedicated support staff.
WMHSAC values cultural knowledge, local history and lived experience, and works respectfully alongside community, recognising the role of families, Elders and traditional healing in wellbeing.
The Role
As SEWB Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the Social Emotional and Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring services are high quality, culturally safe, compliant and responsive to community needs.
You will work closely with the executive team and other service leaders to align SEWB strategy with organisational priorities, while supporting your team to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients.
This role suits a confident, grounded leader who can navigate complexity, lead people well, and balance service delivery, funding obligations and continuous improvement.
