

About the role
As our part time Finance Support Officer, you will provide high-quality and timely support to the day-to-day processing of Capital Health Network’s (CHN) financial transactions. From sending out invoices to reviewing funding sources, your ability to complete critical financial tasks and streamline accounting processes will be key to support CHN to strengthen the health and wellbeing of the ACT community.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to CHN compliance with financial, legal, contractual and reporting responsibilities.
About the team
You will join the Finance and Procurement Team which sits within the broader Corporate Services Unit (CSU). CSU serves as a central point of expertise and support for the organisation, bringing together a range of key operational as well as professional services including Office Coordination, Communications, Human Resources, IT, Risk and Quality, and Executive Support.

The role will be ideal for an early career accountant or finance professional with strong skills in processing tools such as Excel and Xero, coupled with hands-on experience in supporting financial systems and procedures in a multi-program not-for -profit organisation. The successful candidate will bring high level attention to detail and accuracy to their work, ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively, and experience working collaboratively across different teams.
As a part of working in an innovative organisation, the successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in identifying bottlenecks and can be flexible in implementing different ways to improve processes and workflows.
Work location
This position is based in our newly renovated and modern office, located in the heart of the Belconnen town centre. We support flexibility and a hybrid work model at CHN and are happy to work with the successful candidate to ensure balance between work and life.

Position salary: $36.21 per hour (approximately $71,781 per annum, pro rata to full-time equivalent) plus superannuation
Employment type: Part time (up to 22.8 hours per week)
Working Days/hours: Negotiable
