Job Summary: This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating all key human resource functions within the company, ensuring that HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively and compliantly across departments. This includes onboarding, training, and administrative HR tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices and will work closely with department heads, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
Main Responsibilities
Handle onboarding processes including employment contracts, induction programs, and documentation
Maintain and update employee records, both in physical and electronic files
Ensure all documents (IDs, contracts, licenses, medicals, certifications) are up to date
Monitor and maintain attendance records, leaves, sick days, and overtime reports
Support the planning and coordination of internal and external training sessions
Track mandatory certifications and renewals (e.g., safety, compliance, maritime training)
Maintain a training matrix and help evaluate training effectiveness
Prepare HR reports on headcount, turnover, attendance, recruitment status, etc.
Assist with budget tracking related to HR activities (training, recruitment, events)
Maintain confidentiality of all HR information
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management
2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist or officer-level role, preferably in Shipping
HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CHRM)
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with HR software and ERP systems
Understanding of Greek labor law and HR compliance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
