Reception / Ticket Office Staff

Special Tours has over 30 years of experience operating from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour, Special Tours has mastered the art of creating safe, memorable, and high-quality marine wildlife adventures. We are currently seeking cheerful, service-minded individuals to join our team in the ticket office and help deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This dynamic role offers a variety of tasks in a lively and supportive work environment. We welcome applications from both candidates interested in long-term employment and those seeking seasonal work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Selling tickets and providing excellent customer service to guests
• Handling bookings and inquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Managing the reception area and ensuring smooth daily operations
• Working as part of a small, energetic team in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a cheerful, welcoming personality
• Strong customer service and sales orientation
• Excellent command of English (both spoken and written)
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Calm and efficient under pressure
• Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or retail is an advantage but not required
