At Kirby Risk Mechanical Solutions & Service, our drivers play a critical role in supporting our customers by transporting electrical and mechanical apparatus with accuracy, care, and professionalism.
What You’ll Do as a Service Delivery Driver
You’ll: • Participate in the emergency service on call rotation upon completing the initial training period • Transport motors and other electrical and mechanical apparatus by loading, unloading, picking up, and delivering – with the ability to respond to emergency service • Delivers a safe, courteous driving experience when representing Kirby Risk on the road • Relay important information from the field to supervisors and internal teams • Initiates claim checks promptly, ensuring complete and accurate information is captured • Act as a brand ambassador in each interaction at customer sites and while operating company vehicles in the communities we serve • Maintains manifests and delivery logistics following company safety protocol ensuring on time delivery and customer service excellence • Perform other assigned duties in support of shop floor and operational needs
What Makes You a Great Fit • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience • A clean driving record and valid driver’s license (must be 21 years of age) • After completing the initial training period, you will be required to participate in the emergency service on call rotation • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities • Strong attention to detail and time management • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office preferred
What to Expect in This Role • Ability to climb, push, pull, lift, carry up to 50 lbs. • After completing the initial training period, you will be required to participate in the emergency service on call rotation • Sit for extended periods of time while driving • Travel required (daily, with occasional overnight) • Ability to pass a DOT physical • Stand and walk frequently • Close vision and ability to adjust focus • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, with occasional on-call needs
