Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Operator to join our team onsite in Mulgrave, Melbourne.
This role will support warehouse and logistics operations for one of our pharmaceutical industry clients. The position is part-time (50%), initially offered as a 6-month contract with potential extension, depending on operational needs.
This is a hands-on role requiring physical work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage and interact with internal stakeholders in a positive and helpful manner
- Support smooth workflow across teams and departments
Receiving Shipments
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming shipments
- Verify received items against purchase orders and delivery documentation
Inventory Management
- Organize and store goods in designated warehouse locations
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
Outgoing Shipments
- Pick, pack and label outgoing shipments according to order requirements
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, including hazardous materials if applicable
Warehouse Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure deadlines and operational goals are met
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar operational environment
- Valid forklift license
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving materials
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook) for inventory tracking and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive service mindset
- Flexibility to support operational activities before, during and after maintenance or site shutdowns
