About Anderson Injury Lawyers
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Bilingual (Chinese/English) Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with organizing case files, communicating with clients in both languages, and facilitating a variety of tasks in the prelitigation phase of personal injury cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in communicating with clients to gather initial case information, update them on case status and address inquiries.
- Maintain a positive and client-focused approach in all interactions
- Aid in the organization and maintenance of pre-litigation case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in tracking and updating case information in the case management system.
- Assist in the preparation of necessary documents for case evaluations, including summaries, timelines, and client communications.
- Ensure that all documents are properly labeled, files, and accessible for case managers.
- Medical Records Coordination:
- Support in coordinating the retrieval of medical records and bills relevant to pre-litigation cases.
- Liaise with medical providers to gather necessary documentation.
- Assist in coordinating tasks related to the pre-litigation process, ensuring timelines are met.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to facilitate case progression.
- Uphold a client-focused approach, advocating for client needs and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Address client inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues to case managers.
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry and electronic filing
- Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date case files.
- Aid in managing calendars and scheduling appointments for case managers.
- Ensure efficient coordination of appointments and follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) required.
- Experience working with Chinese speaking clients, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese and English; to assist with client interactions, documentation, and case file management.
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a legal or client-focused setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
