Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced A & D Sales Representative to join our Commercial Sales Team. Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, this role is responsible for leading specification development and driving revenue growth across commercial, institutional, and municipal sectors.
As a member of the team, you will play a strategic role in influencing design decisions, strengthening key industry relationships, and securing product specifications at the earliest stages of project development. You will serve as a trusted advisor to architects, landscape architects, engineers, developers, and commercial contractors—positioning our solutions as the standard within the marketplace.
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned sales professional who thrives in complex, relationship-driven environments and understands the long sales cycles typical of the architectural and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed annual sales and specification targets
- Lead specification development within architectural, landscape architectural, and engineering communities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value commercial and municipal accounts
- Identify and pursue large-scale project opportunities from concept through completion
- Deliver technical presentations and continuing education sessions to design professionals
- Provide advanced product knowledge, detailing support, and specification assistance
- Influence project stakeholders to ensure product approval and final purchase
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and estimating teams to ensure seamless execution
- Maintain accurate project tracking within CRM from early design through installation
- Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to team strategy
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in architectural or commercial specification sales
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, bid processes, and project lifecycle
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience delivering technical presentations and CEU sessions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Completion of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) courses (PDC & CTR) preferred or required post-hire
- Valid Ontario driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 base
- 1st Year On-Target Earnings (OTE): $95,000 – $105,000 (base + commission & performance-based incentives)
