We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to join our client's team as an Accounting Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a supportive environment and contribute to client-facing projects across various industries.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax, audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned client portfolios.
Support with bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and data entry.
Help prepare VAT returns and assist in the submission of statutory documentation.
Maintain proper filing systems and accurate records.
Collaborate with team members to meet internal deadlines and client deliverables.
Contribute to ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1-2 years of experience in accounting or office administration will be considered an advantage, but is not essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Fluency in English is required; fluency in Maltese is considered an asset.
An interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance.
A good level of organisation, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
WORKING TIME
Flexibility in starting time, from 08:00 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace. Fridays till 15:00.
