Technical Buyer (On-site)
Location: Savski Marof, Croatia
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site | Monday–Friday | 08:00–16:30
We are expanding our operations in Croatia and launching a new on-site procurement activity for a new customer in Savski Marof.
The Technical Buyer will be responsible for establishing and executing the procurement of technical inventory and spare parts required for maintenance and operational needs at the customer site.
This role combines hands-on purchasing execution with operational setup responsibilities, including onboarding suppliers, building procurement processes, and supporting the establishment of KPIs and reporting structure.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Execute sourcing and purchasing of technical materials and spare parts
- Act as the first point of contact for end users and warehouse managers
- Collect and clarify technical requirements for sourcing activities
- Identify, evaluate, and engage suitable local and global suppliers
- Issue purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment through delivery
- Align with the customer on inventory levels and operational requirements
- Support the onboarding of suppliers and the development of the local supply base
- Participate in the establishment of procurement processes and KPI structure
- Provide periodic reports on procurement activity and operational metrics (e.g., OTD – On-Time Delivery)
- Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in technical procurement / operational buying
- Experience in MRO or technical spare parts procurement – preferred
- Familiarity with local Croatian supply base – advantage
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability
- Comfortable working independently on-site
- Structured, proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Croatian and English – both required
