With extensive international operations and a strong track record of operational excellence, we are now establishing our new on-site operation in Sweden.
We are currently seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to be fully based on-site at our customer’s facility in Strängnäs.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and take part in shaping and building a new operational setup from the ground up. The role offers high exposure to day-to-day operational decision-making within a dynamic and highly engaged site environment, combining data-driven performance with meaningful supplier and stakeholder interaction.
The MRO Operational Buyer is responsible for managing day-to-day procurement activities related to Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) materials on-site.
This is a structured, KPI-driven operational role that requires accuracy, ownership, and strong interpersonal skills. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers, warehouse teams, production stakeholders, and internal functions.
The position is fully on-site (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing, selection and procurement of MRO goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Handle purchase requisitions and execute purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities, pricing and delivery timelines
- Act as the primary on-site procurement contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, logistics, production and finance teams
- Track order status, follow up on deliveries and resolve supply issues to ensure on-time delivery (OTD)
- Maintain procurement documentation and supplier records in accordance with company procedures
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Operate in alignment with procurement policies, compliance requirements and safety standards
- Support KPI tracking and cost-control initiatives
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement / operational buying
- Experience in MRO procurement – preferred
- Technical buying background – an advantage
- Experience working in ERP / procurement systems
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working in KPI-driven environments
- High level of accuracy and structured working style
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships on-site
- Very good English and Swedish – both required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field – preferred (relevant hands-on experience will also be considered)
