

Fixed-Term opportunity between March – June 2026
Opera Australia is seeking a highly organised and proactive Technical Production
Administrator to join our Technical team based at The Opera Centre, Sydney. This role is
central to the smooth planning and administration of our productions, supporting
payroll, contracting, finance, and logistics across the Technical department.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Resourcing Manager, Technical, you will ensure the timely and
effective delivery of administrative processes that support our productions and
technical workforce. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
to keep operations running efficiently and compliantly. This opportunity is on a fixed-term basis between March and June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely timesheets
• Support contracting of Technical employees and suppliers using centralised
systems
• Coordinate onboarding including IT access, building passes, and inductions
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and supplier documentation
• Manage departmental assets such as credit cards, parking, and transport vouchers
• Assist with resource planning, scheduling, and production logistics
• Support travel, transport, and venue coordination
About You
• 2+ years’ experience in office administration
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work calmly under pressure
• High level of initiative and problem-solving ability
• Confident user of MS Office; experience with iPOS or similar systems desirable
• Flexible, collaborative, and an effective communicator
