Job Description:
The Director of Procurement Finance is the lead financial architect for our global sourcing and procurement strategies. This role provides the financial oversight necessary to manage a multi-million dollar spend portfolio—ranging from raw ingredients and packaging to indirect services. You will partner closely with the Head of Procurement to drive cost-savings initiatives, manage commodity price volatility, and ensure a resilient, cost-effective supply chain.
Strategic Sourcing Partnership
Act as the dedicated financial lead for the Procurement team, providing data-driven insights for supplier negotiations and contract renewals.
Lead "Should-Cost" modeling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to guide sourcing decisions.
Support the "Make vs. Buy" analysis for new product innovations and manufacturing capabilities.
2. Commodity Risk & Hedging
Monitor global commodity markets (e.g., ingredients, resins, energy) and their impact on the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) forecast.
Provide sensitivity analysis to help the business understand the impact of inflationary or deflationary cycles.
3. Cost Transformation & Savings
Design and govern the "Value Creation" or "Cost Savings" pipeline, ensuring all procurement savings are validated and flow through to the P&L.
Oversee the tracking of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and explain drivers (market vs. performance).
Implement benchmarking tools to ensure competitive pricing across all categories.
4. Working Capital Optimization
Drive strategies to improve Free Cash Flow by optimizing supplier payment terms and inventory levels.
Partner with the AP (Accounts Payable) team to ensure process efficiency and maximize early-payment discounts.
Experience: 8–10+ years in Finance, with a heavy emphasis on Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Procurement Finance within the CPG industry.
Financial Mastery: Deep understanding of COGS, standard costing, and inventory accounting.
Strategic Negotiation: Experience supporting high-stakes negotiations with external vendors through financial modeling.
Systems: Proficiency in Sage or related ERP and advanced procurement modules or Spend Analytics software.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Supply Chain. MBA or CPA preferred.
