What You’ll Do as a Lighting Specialist In this role, you’ll promote and generate sales of all lighting products by analyzing the lighting market, identifying projects, making sales calls, and providing technical assistance.
You’ll: • Identify and manage projects within major accounts • Control lighting sales and meet sales goals for assigned territory • Analyze, create, and execute sales plans to capture increasing market share in territory or accounts • Analyze customer requirements and provide technical assistance to Account Managers as needed to secure lighting sales • Engage in direct communication with lighting suppliers regarding applications and other pertinent information related to lighting projects • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with other business units and departments • Represent Kirby Risk with professionalism in all communications with internal and external customers and vendors
What Makes You a Great Fit • College degree or equivalent 4+ years work experience in related field • 2+ years successful sales experience in the wholesale distribution or lighting industries • Goal-oriented and self-motivated, compassionate independent work ethic • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and successfully meet several deadlines at once • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal • Strong interpersonal and customer contact skills • Demostrate computer skills and aptitude, Microsoft Office preferred • Avid continuous learner
What to Expect in This Role • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry up to 50 lbs • Frequently required to walk or stand at customer sites • Working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment • Travel required
