The role provides comprehensive support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in managing Operations across budgeting, performance management, reporting, event readiness, and strategic projects. The position coordinates closely with Operations departments to gather information, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with corporate strategic objectives and ADAC’s strategic performance management framework.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Prepare, communicate, and coordinate divisional and departmental objectives aligned with corporate strategy, operational plans, and ADAC’s performance management framework.
- Propose departmental KPIs and targets aligned with operational models and strategic priorities.
- Prepare yearly OGSMs (Objectives, Goals, Strategic Measures) for COO’s direct reports and maintain the OGSM register to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Consolidate departmental business plans, including objectives, action plans, risks, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor operational performance against targets, identify slippage, and escalate issues to the COO with recommendations.
- Conduct benchmarking and analyze regional and international best practices to enhance operational performance.
Reporting & Executive Support
- Amend and maintain divisional and departmental reporting templates in line with OGSMs, KPIs, and operational focus areas.
- Consolidate and prepare the Operations Monthly Performance Report for review and presentation to the COO.
- Prepare and submit divisional and corporate reports in line with ADAC’s strategic performance management framework.
- Facilitate one-to-one performance reviews between the COO and direct reports, including preparation of performance fact sheets.
- Develop and continuously enhance dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools incorporating financial and non-financial indicators.
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, agendas, minutes of meetings (MOMs), and briefing materials for COO, CEO briefings, and key committees as required.
- Ensure proper archiving of reports, presentations, trackers, and related documentation.
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Initiate and coordinate the annual budget preparation cycle (OPEX and CAPEX) with Operations departments.
- Consolidate budget submissions, ensuring operational requirements, justifications, and forecasts are captured for COO review and approval.
- Analyze monthly financial reports, track budget utilization, identify variances, and obtain justifications from departments.
- Identify budget optimization opportunities, including cost savings and new revenue streams.
- Verify requests for budget shortfalls and provide recommendations for internal budget reallocation.
- Review and validate CAPEX business cases and presentations for Investment Committee endorsement.
Projects, Audits & Safety Performance
- Develop and maintain the CAPEX Projects Register, tracking funding, activation, progress, slippage, and investment priorities.
- Consolidate and track the status of external and internal audit findings, ensuring compliance with target dates.
- Verify and consolidate monthly status of KPIs, operational initiatives, CAPEX projects, contracts, and audit findings.
- Prepare and consolidate Safety Performance Reports in coordination with Operations departments and Post Holders Senior Officer.
Coordination & Team Support
- Coordinate with departments to ensure timely submission of reports and accurate executive reporting.
- Follow up on departmental activities, identifying progress, delays, gaps, and critical issues.
- Provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and day-to-day support to section employees.
- Identify training and development needs, with a particular focus on Emiratization.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Science
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Aviation Management or a related field (preferred)
