About the Team:
The North America Client Transactions & Data team is to streamline access to Client Information. We provide predictable data that enables our partners to respond more nimbly and rapidly to our changing business environment. By centralizing and delivery of our client data as a product, we provide transparent roadmaps while using a standardized, consistent & predictable in engineering practices.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for supporting advanced analytics initiatives and data integration. Interact with Business Owners, Product Owners, Business Data Analysts, and Application Developers, to design, build and manage large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines utilizing various data analytic frameworks. The position requires a strong technical hands-on-skilled engineer. A successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, design, programing, and debugging skills in a large-scale analytics solution.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Managing application and data integration platforms using AWS Cloud components
Designing and building robust data pipelines using modern data engineering practices in a cloud-native architecture
Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and support the full lifecycle of development, reporting, and integration projects — from planning and design through testing and rollout — following Agile standards
Ensuring data availability and enablement for business reporting and analytics within established SLAs
Creating and maintaining architecture documentation, data models, and design artifacts
Developing and maintaining production-grade code and automation to evolve data-driven, analytical capabilities — with a focus on understanding customer behavior and competitive dynamics
Identifying and implementing innovative solutions and best practices to improve operational efficiency and pipeline reliability
Communicating across business areas to formulate technical requirements for data ingestion, validation, scheduling, and delivery
Requirements of the Role:
5–7 years of experience working in AWS, including services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, SNS, and related components
3-5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, with solid expertise in SQL and query performance optimization
3–5 years of experience working with Snowflake
Strong programming skills in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development
Experience with source control and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket) and CI/CD practices for automated deployment of data and analytics workloads
1-2 years of experience integrating AI-driven tools or services (e.g., AWS AI services, Snowflake Cortex Code, LLM-enabled applications, or analytics platforms) into data workflows is a plus.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and large-scale data architecture design
Business Acumen
Familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
Financial/ Investment Management industry experience
Problem Solving
Comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs
Leadership
Typically, no supervisory responsibilities but may provide informal guidance to new Team members

Education Required
BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or area of study related to data sciences and data mining or relevant experience

The salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $80,000 - $85,000 year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
