Position Start Date: June 22, 2026
Required Degree: Master's Degree, preferably in an Internationally focused field of study.
Experience:
Prior experience creating university level course material intended for online delivery.
Ability to personalize requirements to fit the academic needs of each student on an individual level.
Strong interpersonal skills and be prepared to work simultaneously with multiple students, faculty advisors, and department administrators to create course content tailored to meet the goals and academic requirements of all parties.
2+ years of university level teaching experience and/or experience working with domestic and international internship providers are preferred.
Duties/Expectations:
Work with the Kennedy Center Internship coordinators and/or ISP program coordinators/directors to create and deliver academic content and opportunity for reflection in connection with each student’s individual internship.
Compensate for a variety of internship start and end dates, and personalize the course based on the internship type and number of credit hours registered for.
Provide feedback to worklogs, reflections, or other assignments in a timely manner.
Work with Internship coordinators to ensure that the internship meets the necessary criteria to be accepted for university credit and that the student has completed the minimum required work hours.
Be responsible to submit final grades at the end of each semester/term and will work with students to arrange an extension in the case where internship completion dates do no align with the university calendar.
Report directly to the Kennedy Center Associate Director for Academic Programs.
Additional responsibilities related to this course may be assigned as needed if special accommodations become necessary.
