A Day in the Life
Shape & Deliver the Upstream Portfolio Vision:
Visionary Leadership: Collaborate to develop and communicate a compelling Anesthesia Monitoring product roadmap aligned with growth and competitive strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Organize, articulate, and prioritize stakeholder needs for new products and enhancements.
Strategic Decision-Making: Translate these needs into priority market segments and opportunities to advise R&D.
Business Development: Prepare and pitch business cases to launch new product development and drive inorganic growth opportunities.
Drive Strategic Opportunities with Market Sizing & VOC:
Market Analysis: Develop and maintain global market and P&L models for intubation and adjacent markets.
Customer Insights: Conduct primary voice-of-customer in close collaboration with R&D and leverage internal expertise to identify and meet customer and business needs.
Lead Cross-Functional Team to Execute Innovation Strategy:
Collaborative Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious new product development.
Seamless Transition: Coordinate with downstream marketing for smooth product development-to-management transitions.
Portfolio Support: Prioritize and support sustaining development projects for existing products.
Travel: Global travel to support the needs of the business. Approximately 1x per month (20%)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7 years with bachelor’s or 5 years with advanced degree with relevant experience in product management, upstream marketing, strategic marketing, or product development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or advanced degree
Experience translating clinical and customer insights into product requirements and differentiated value propositions.
Experience influencing product development decisions and portfolio strategy within healthcare or medical device environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and global stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience presenting market insights, strategic recommendations, and product strategies to senior leadership
Experience synthesizing customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development of executive-level presentations
Experience launching global medical device products
Knowledge of EEG and/or anesthesia care
Acquisitions and distribution deals experience
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
