Position: Global IT License / Procurement / Vendor Manager
Experience Required: 10 to 12 Years
Job Location: Nashik, India
Your next level with RIB – Licensing & Vendor Management as the foundation for Cost Control & Compliance
As a Global License / Procurement / Vendor Manager (m/f/d), you take global end-to-end ownership for IT Vendor Management, IT License Management, and IT Procurement. You ensure that our global software and SaaS landscape is managed in a transparent, cost-efficient, and audit-ready way from intake and contract/renewal management to the optimization of costs and risks. You work closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security and business stakeholders in an international matrix organization.
Your responsibilities
• Global Vendor & Contract Management:
Own the global IT vendor landscape (onboarding, contract & service models, SLAs/terms, renewal calendar) and maintain a clear, up-to-date overview of contracts, terms, and conditions.
• IT Procurement Governance (hands-on execution):
Define, establish and run a consistent IT procurement process. Ensure clean documentation, compliance, and operational follow-through.
• End-to-End License Management:
Manage the full IT license lifecycle (demand, assignment, usage, re-harvesting, renewals, decommissioning) and ensure licenses are traceable to applications and cost centers.
• Microsoft Licensing Focus:
Act as the subject matter lead for Microsoft licensing, assess program changes, and derive clear optimization measures and actions.
• Cost Optimization & Forecasting:
Apply commercial and financial expertise (TCO mindset, forecasts, transparency by cost center/entity, renewal/upgrade scenarios), identify savings opportunities, and reduce over-licensing and waste.
• Audit & Compliance Readiness:
Support internal/external audits (license proofs, entitlements, contract terms, reporting obligations), implement controls, and ensure adherence to requirements.
• Stakeholder Management & Alignment:
Facilitate decisions with IT service owners, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Security; drive global standards instead of local “islands”; and get to pragmatic, implementable compromises.
• Reporting & Transparency:
Establish pragmatic KPIs and reporting (spend, renewals, usage, risks) to enable reliable decision-making for management and teams.
• Continuous Improvement:
Evolve templates, guidelines and RACI ownership models; standardize processes; and continuously raise the maturity of global vendor and license management.
Your profile
• Several years of solid experience in IT license management / Software Asset Management (SAM) / vendor management / IT procurement, ideally in an international matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing and common commercial models; ability to translate technical requirements into commercial impact.
• Strong understanding of contracting and procurement processes (terms, renewals, negotiations, compliance requirements) and robust documentation/governance.
• Strong financial mindset (forecasting, cost transparency, pricing logic, TCO) without “classic budget ownership” being the focus.
• Analytical, structured, and hands-on: you work data-driven, bring order into complex landscapes, and provide clear decision-ready insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills: you can collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and the business at eye level and drive topics globally.
• Practical experience with SAP procurement processes (e.g., requisitions, POs, goods receipt/service confirmation, invoice flow).
• Very good English skills (spoken and written) for global collaboration.
Advantageous – Certifications / additional knowledge
• SAM/ITAM certifications (e.g., IAITAM/CSAM or comparable).
• Procurement/negotiation certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM or comparable).
• Basic Microsoft certifications or proven, hands-on experience in Microsoft licensing.
• Experience with license/asset repositories, ITSM environments, and reporting/BI (e.g., Excel/Power BI).
• Experience working with Legal/Compliance on contract reviews and data protection/security requirements for SaaS/vendors.
