Responsibilities:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and monthly close processes.
Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Partner closely with Executive Leadership, FP&A, Legal, HR, Operations, and Technology teams to drive financial strategy and operational excellence.
Oversee all external and internal audit activities, ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables and regulatory compliance.
Serve as a key leader in SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and related disclosures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting systems, workflows, controls, and automation processes to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Lead enterprise-wide SOX compliance initiatives, risk management activities, and internal control optimization efforts.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures aligned with evolving business operations and regulatory standards.
Provide executive-level guidance on complex accounting matters, technical accounting research, and business transactions.
Support M&A activities, integration, due diligence efforts, and other strategic corporate initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA strongly preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
Experience:
Minimum 10 - 12 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
Minimum 4 - 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large accounting functions and teams.
Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
Extensive experience managing public company audits and working directly with external auditors.
Proven success leading accounting operations within a publicly traded, healthcare, technology, or high-growth organization preferred.
Deep experience with ERP systems and financial transformation initiatives; Workday Financials experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and influence cross-functional executive stakeholders.
