

[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Mathematics & Infocomm Technology in the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary studies.[What you will be working on]
Develop and deliver curriculum and assessments for full‑time Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) students in Mathematics
Develop and deliver full‑time and/or part‑time PET and CET IT‑related modules, including face‑to‑face and/or online courses
Able to teach at least one evening or weekends in the week
Design, administer, and mark assessments, including continuous assessments and examinations
Counsel and mentor students to support their learning and personal development, including education and career guidance
Lead or participate in academic research, data analysis, implementation initiatives, and/or poly‑wide projects
Undertake academic‑related administration, committee work, outreach activities, and ad‑hoc projects that support the School’s mission
Lead or support educational and enrichment programmes, including study trips where applicable
[What we are looking for]
A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline
Preferably at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in Mathematics and/or a related field
Demonstrated ability and interest to plan, develop, and teach Mathematics and digital skills‑related modules
Strong interest in curriculum development and applied teaching approaches
A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and adult learners
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good planning, organising, writing, and multi‑tasking skills
Agile, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team‑based environment
