An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive and delivery driven individual to join our Customer Services Airline Support Team (AST) network in Japan, as a Field Service Representative. AST provides Operational Fleet and Service Delivery support for Rolls-Royce Civil Engine customers. The position will be based in Tokyo, Japan, or its vicinity.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop a close working relationship and garner trust with the customer at all levels, to enable effective communication of key business messages and collection of customer data, intelligence and insight.
- Develop good understanding of Rolls Royce’s strategy, business objectives, products and services, including contract structures.
- Provide 24/7 support to customer. Promote timely resolution of issues by facilitating smooth flow of information, delivery of service and general communication through use of conventional and contemporary means, including various IT tools.
- Provide support in new product introduction and in preparing customer readiness for the receipt of products, as well as providing customer business forecast inputs, fleet plans and shop visit plans.
- Proactively manage offered product and services by identifying potential problems and opportunity for improvements.
- Administer product and service contract through monitoring warranties, guarantees, outstanding airline debts, and necessary reporting.
Qualifications:
- Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Has a technical and/or services background, ideally with gas turbines.
- Clear concise communicator in English, ideally also in Japanese and must have the right to live and work in Japan
- Has experience of working in a customer facing environment, have good business acumen, and be capable of dealing with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment
- Familiar with airline operation and functionality, particularly with their line maintenance practices and relevant regulations must be IT literate
- Must be culturally aware and well organised with a proven ability to plan and prioritise to achieve goals on time.
