Position Description
The iMentorship program is part of the iEngage program at the UW Information School, which works to connect iSchool students with industry partners and professionals. iMentorship pairs iSchool students with mentors from the professional community, giving our students a jumpstart as they prepare to enter the workforce and strengthen the connection between working professionals and the Information School. This position is a leadership opportunity for a motivated student looking to gain hands-on experience in program coordination, event management, and professional communications. The student assistant will support the iMentorship program and report directly to the iEngage Program Manager.
This student assistant will work on an as-needed basis, averaging 10 hours per week. Much of the work can be done remotely, with only infrequent in-person attendance required. The iMentorship program is busiest at the beginning and end of the academic year; during slower periods, the student assistant will have the opportunity to support broader iEngage programming and events.
