Job Summary:
Join our compassionate outpatient behavioral health nursing team in Antioch, Tennessee, where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals receiving psychiatric and mental health services. This Monday through Friday position offers a consistent daytime schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with no weekends, holidays, or evening shifts required, creating an exceptional work-life balance for nursing professionals seeking stability and purpose-driven work. We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse who values teamwork, communication, organization, and compassionate care.
In this role, you will support patients through psychiatric and mental health nursing services including medication administration, patient education, phone triage, laboratory support, and coordination of care within a collaborative outpatient setting. You will work alongside physicians, Registered Nurses, therapists, and additional healthcare professionals to provide high-quality behavioral healthcare while supporting a welcoming and recovery-focused environment. Compensation is based on post-license experience and is expected to range from $25.25 to $27.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric and mental health assessments and communicate concerns to the treatment team as appropriate
• Administer and monitor medications while observing effectiveness, side effects, compliance, and patient response
• Provide patient education regarding medications, behavioral health treatment plans, wellness strategies, and available resources
• Conduct phone triage and assist patients with medication concerns, prescription assistance programs, and prior authorizations
• Monitor patient health status including vital signs, nutritional status, weights, and disease-related concerns
• Perform CLIA waived laboratory testing and maintain quality control documentation and laboratory standards
• Support phlebotomy services and report abnormal laboratory values as required
• Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Assist with employee health services including influenza vaccination clinics and TB skin testing
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and within organizational standards while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Maintain compliance with mandatory trainings, organizational policies, and ethical healthcare practices
• Provide assigned residential nursing services as directed when applicable
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Minimum of six months to one year of psychiatric, behavioral health, or related mental health nursing experience preferred
• Experience in outpatient nursing, medication administration, behavioral health services, psychiatric care, patient triage, or mental health support preferred

• Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with physicians, nurses, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Possess strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Maintain professionalism and flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Demonstrate strong patient service skills and the ability to provide compassionate behavioral healthcare
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical healthcare standards
• Possess basic computer and electronic documentation skills
• Report to work consistently and complete assigned duties within designated timeframes
Physical Requirements
• Sit for extended periods throughout the workday
• Stand and move throughout the clinic environment as needed
• Occasionally squat, kneel, bend, lift, and drive for work-related activities
• Perform physical tasks associated with outpatient nursing and patient care responsibilities
