Conduct internal compliance monitoring and quality assurance. Process and document access rights, including required training, background checks and authorizations. Update databases and prepare evidence. Maintain procedure documentation. The position requires a working knowledge of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards.

Process compliance records for personnel and assets using company applications such as Access Control Matrix, Non-MEC Personnel System, Pro-Watch, ETS, SharePoint, Identity Manager and Outlook with regard to training, personnel risk assessments and approved access. (25%)
Research and analyze complex compliance issues. Complete detailed analysis, fact finding and present analysis clearly and concisely. (15%)
Propose and implement quality control measures. (15%)
Maintain CIP administration procedures and related technical and training documents. Provide training to NERC specialists to ensure documented procedures are followed. (10%)
Research, analyze, resolve and respond to internal and external client questions about compliance. (10%)
Monitor, verify and analyze evidence that is generated and required for compliance with NERC standards. (10%)
Maintain the databases and documentation that support compliance to the NERC standards. (5%)
Develop and produce reports required by the standards. (5%)
Coordinate evidence for response to audits, events and advisories to internal and external entities within the required time limits. (5%)

Associate’s degree in business or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate’s degree.)
One-two years of experience in an administrative role required.
Three years of experience in an administrative role required for the NERC Specialist 2.
Effective communication skills including listening, oral and writing skills to process information timely and accurately.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
