Are you a hands-on mechanical expert with a passion for roll maintenance and customer service? Valmet is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team in Wuxi. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through technical expertise, project coordination, and on-site support.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and support roll production, maintenance, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
Identify parts using drawings and IDs to ensure correct application for each job.
Prepare technical drawings and manage tools to ensure operational readiness.
Respond promptly to customer technical issues and coordinate solutions.
Manage customer projects including component purchasing, delivery follow-up, part inspection, and packing.
Lead or participate in service project meetings: kick-off, coordination, and wrap-up.
Maintain tools in good condition and keep accurate records.
Follow all company policies, KPIs, and assignments from line management.
Expectations for you:
Associate degree or above.
Minimum 5 years of experience in paper mill roll maintenance and management.
Strong mechanical maintenance background. Automation or hydraulic knowledge is a plus; mechanical machining experience is also valued.
Business sales experience is a plus.
Good spoken and written English.
Proficiency with PC and standard office software (MS Word, Excel, CAD, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) and computer-aided design tools.
Ability to handle responsible business independently.
Self-motivated and willing to grow within a developing organization.
Ready and willing to travel frequently.
