We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Manager with Solar PV & Battery Storage experience to lead the delivery of electrical compliance and works from our office in Halifax. You’ll own performance across EICR programmes and remedials, drive quality and audit readiness, and lead a team to deliver a right-first-time service. You’ll also act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting contract meetings, managing escalations and ensuring customer service standards are consistently high.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of EICR programmes, remedials and associated electrical works across your region/contract(s).
Ensure 100% compliance with standards, certification, evidence capture and internal/client governance requirements.
Implement quality controls, manage rework, and maintain audit readiness at all times.
Manage and motivate supervisors/engineers, setting clear expectations on productivity, quality, safety and customer behaviour.
Oversee no access and letter procedures, driving effective resident communication and completion rates.
Monitor performance (KPIs/SLA), analyse trends, and take corrective action to improve outcomes (e.g., first-time fix, appointment kept rate).
Act as the main operational link for client stakeholders: attend contract meetings, provide updates, and deliver action plans.
Handle escalations and complaints, ensuring strong service recovery and consistently high customer experience.
Support recruitment, onboarding and probation management, working closely with HR on people matters when required.
Manage operational controls such as parts usage/returns, fleet standards and reporting, working with procurement/fleet teams as needed.
Support mobilisation/bidding activity for new work where required.
Essentia skills and experience
18th Edition, Inspection & Testing as a minimum.
Solar PV & Battery Storage experience
Proven experience in an electrical management role within a high-volume delivery environment (ideally social housing, compliance, FM or planned works).
Strong working knowledge of EICR delivery, remedials management, certification and quality assurance.
Confident leading teams and driving performance through structure, standards, coaching and accountability.
Strong customer focus with experience managing escalations and maintaining service standards.
Comfortable with systems, reporting and administration (minimum Outlook and Excel; works management systems desirable).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage residents, clients and internal stakeholders.
Full UK driving licence (role/patch dependent).
Desirable:
C&G 2391 / 2391-52 (or equivalent Inspection & Testing).
NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor (QS) experience or close involvement with QS governance.
SMSTS/SSSTS and/or IOSH (or similar H&S qualification).
Experience managing chargeable works/variations and supporting invoicing readiness.
Package
Up to £55,000 base
Company van and fuel card.
