

VHIR is seeking a Research Technician to work within the Translational Molecular Pathology Group. Our group aims to unravel the molecular mechanisms of cancer progression and metastasis to identify new diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic targets in cancer.
Coordinate and manage laboratory duties
Provide support to clinical trials or research projects ongoing within the department
Collaborate with other Principal Investigators who require services from the Pathology department
Prepare and organise human samples required for different projects or collaborations
Superior Degree in Pathology (FPII)
Specialised training in immunohistochemistry of animal and human samples
Experienced in sample scanning
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English
Additional training in molecular pathology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, western blot, etc.)
Previous experience working in clinical trials as a technician coordinator
Capacity to implement and standardise new laboratory techniques
Knowledge of lab management duties
Soft skills: well-organised, methodical, proactive, and an aptitude for teamwork
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: 01/07/2026.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
Duration: 1 year
