Senior Project Manager Technical Assistance in Mumbai

Your Main Tasks
- Leading the strategic planning and development of business plans, budgets, and program pipelines for Technical Assistance (TA) and ensuring full alignment with donor priorities and compliance requirements.
- Designing and overseeing flagship initiatives which includes stakeholder engagement, knowledge-sharing, and development of communication materials.
- Representing TA in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing donor relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and communication, delivery of contractual obligations, including reporting.
- Collaborating with the investment team and investee companies to conduct needs assessments and define project objectives, scopes of work, deliverables, etc. and present proposals to decision‑making committees.
- Overseeing project implementation by ensuring quality and timely execution in close cooperation with investment teams and portfolio companies; promoting learning across the portfolio.
- Leading procurement processes for advisory services, including sourcing, evaluation, contracting, and performance management of service providers; driving contract negotiations with consultancy firms and service providers.
- Ensuring governance as well as legal and compliance frameworks, including donor fund management, audits, trustee coordination, and policy adherence.
Your Experience and Skills
- University degree from a reputable institution with min. 10+ years relevant experience in a similar role, advisory service delivery, procurement, or related functions within investment management or international development sectors.
- Solid understanding of climate-smart agriculture practices, sustainable value chains, and resilience-building approaches in agriculture.
- Demonstrated knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles, with practical experience integrating gender equity and inclusive practices into project design and implementation.
- Proven ability to design and implement capacity-building programs aligned with investment strategies and business objectives.
- Strong expertise in managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects in international contexts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to successfully cooperate with internal and external stakeholders on various levels and cultures.
- Knowledge of impact investments in emerging market is considered a plus.
- Highly motivated professional with a proactive, team-oriented and independent working style, experienced in collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lead external experts and contribute to the development and coaching of junior team members.
