The German Finance & Reporting Department is responsible for local Accounting, Controlling and Regulatory Reporting of the German Branch. The team ensures compliance with German accounting standards, regulatory and statistical reporting requirements to the Deutsche Bundesbank, as well as local tax obligations.
In addition, the department serves as a central interface for internal and external auditors and works closely with other Branch departments and Head Office teams in Spain. Given the size of the team, members are expected to develop a broad understanding of all departmental processes and contribute actively across functional areas.
The department plays an important role in supporting the Bank’s digital transformation by continuously enhancing and automating internal processes to strengthen efficiency, control and reporting quality.

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a focus on regulatory reporting and data management, combined with a solid accounting and controlling background.
In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and compliant regulatory reporting, including submissions to the Deutsche Bundesbank. The focus will be on the preparation, validation, and submission of reports, with emphasis on data integrity and efficient data transformation. Bringing together regulatory, accounting, and controlling expertise, you will help ensure consistency across
financial and reporting data while contributing to process improvements, automation, and high-quality reporting standards.
What you will do:
Support the preparation, validation, and timely submission of regulatory and statistical reports to the Deutsche Bundesbank.
Ensure integrity, completeness and consistency of regulatory and management reporting data.
Monitor regulatory developments and evaluate their operational impact on the Branch.
Maintain and further develop reporting systems, interfaces and data flows.
Contribute analytical insights to portfolio controlling and management reporting.
Provide support in local accounting processes where required.
Proactively contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Contribute to controlling and management reporting, providing financial insights where needed.
Support ad hoc regulatory requests (e.g. BaFin, ECB).
What we are looking for:
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
3–6 years of experience, ideally in regulatory reporting within a financial institution.
Strong understanding of German regulatory reporting requirements.
Good knowledge of HGB; IFRS familiarity is advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools; VBA or SQL knowledge is beneficial.
Familiarity with the German regulatory framework is an asset.
Hands-on experience with BAIS is a strong advantage.
Fluent in German and proficient in English; Spanish is a plus.
