About this position: Human Resources Specialist Location – El Paso, TX

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining the Disciplinary Matrix to ensure employee disciplinary actions are accurately documented, updated, and tracked consistently.
• Maintain and update employee personnel files, medical records, disciplinary documentation, personnel action forms, and training records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in tracking, recording, and maintaining mandatory and supplemental employee training requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
• Communicate with employees regarding required training, annual certifications, mandatory tasks, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
• Track employee annual training completion and maintain accurate documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Administer the company drug testing program, including coordination and documentation of Non-DOT random drug testing procedures.
• Assist with maintaining compliance records and ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and current.
• Support onboarding and personnel processing activities, including maintaining employee status changes and required HR documentation.
• Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and tracking logs related to employee training, compliance, and personnel actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive Human Resources information at all times.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Manager within the scope of assigned duties.
• Perform general Human Resources administrative duties as assigned.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources or administrative experience.
• Combination of higher education and Human Resources experience totaling at least 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or related Human Resources certification preferred.
• Experience supporting government contracts or regulated work environments preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
· This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
