

The Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is looking for a part time Research Coordinator I to coordinate day to day activities of hepatology-focused research based within the Harris Health System. This role entails coordinating day‑to‑day activities across both observational and international trials (including Phase II and III studies) evaluating therapies for liver disease. The candidate will work alongside an experienced clinical researcher, and will have direct interaction with participants—guiding them through screening, enrollment, and monitoring for adherence to protocol requirements. The position is on-site.
This position is a good fit for candidates who are self-directed, enthusiastic about clinical research and willing to be trained and perform duties that they may not have performed in the past. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
This is a part-time position with scheduled working hours occurring within standard business hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The exact schedule may vary within this timeframe based on departmental needs. This position is not eligible for benefits.
