As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating supply chain operations in support of a specific client project. This role involves coordinating personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods, while ensuring that project requirements are met and compliance with Crane policies, particularly regarding time/vacation, is maintained. You will also be responsible for the performance and efficiency of all daily work functions connected to the project. Your ability to manage logistics processes and ensure compliance will be crucial to your success in this role.
This is a fixed-term Control role, for 6-7 months initially, aligned to the duration of a specific client project, with potential to move into something else thereafter.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee and manage all logistics processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in a dynamic environment.
- Accept and process contract logistics orders, ensuring all details are accurately entered and aligned with customer agreements.
- Ensure proper control and entry of invoice and cost information, ensuring timely billing of orders.
- Assist in preparing offers and price calculations for shipments, ensuring they align with the customer contracts.
- Identify logistics issues and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create and process necessary reports on logistics performance and costs for customer-related activities.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, partners, and employees to ensure satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and fulfilment of quality and productivity targets.
- Oversee storage and retrieval activities, considering product properties and standard storage practices.
- Assist with inventory tasks, document review, and completion as needed.
- Schedule storage and transport equipment as required, ensuring timely execution of logistics operations.
- Oversee and ensure that all time, vacation, and workday activities of your team (including Logistics Coordinators under your supervision) align with Crane regulations and company policies.
- Perform other assigned duties related to warehousing, trucking, or contract logistics as required.
- Fluent Written and Spoken Dutch required
Physical Requirements:
- Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other components.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Vision abilities to perform tasks that require close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in computer software, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job-specific applications.
- Fluent in Dutch and English both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing, budget preparation, financial reporting, and monitoring expenses.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing contracts, customer data, and cost data.
- Ability to oversee a team effectively, ensuring that time, vacation, and daily work functions are in compliance with company policies.
- Fluent Written and Spoken Dutch required
