REPORTS TO: Director of School Operations
POSITION TYPE: 12-month
START DATE: Immediate
COMPENSATION: Starting at $71,500 annually

THE ROLE
YES Prep seeks a dynamic, systems-focused Director of Campus Operations (DCO) with a robust set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, and build transformative relationships.
To put it simply, you will lead and manage most non-instructional functions at an elementary campus. This role is critical to creating efficient, safe, and high-performing school environments where students thrive. As a key member of the campus leadership team, the DCO will drive operational excellence to support enrollment, attendance, safety, financial stewardship, and systems development.
THE ROLE

Key Metrics for Success
- Enrollment: 100% filled seats by October 31 and 99% maintained year-round.
- Attendance: Meet or exceed a 95% Average Daily Attendance (ADA).
- Safety: Tier 1 rating (90%+) on the Safety & Security Operations Scorecard.
- Fiscal Stewardship: Operate at or under budget while maintaining district compliance to finance policy.
- Systems & Scheduling: 100% accurate schedules completed ahead of deadlines to maximize student achievement.
- School Readiness: 100% of operational readiness goals met for the 2025-2026 school year.
Operational Leadership
Enrollment
- Achieving 100% student enrollment by October 31 (snapshot date) and maintain at least 99% enrollment throughout the school year with continued teamwork with campus staff and the externals and schools team at home office;
- Designing and executing recruitment campaigns targeting families within a 3-mile radius of the campus;
- Overseeing backfilling efforts to ensure grade-level seats remain filled year-round by collaborating with the Home Office externals and schools teams;
- Elementary: Monolingual and Bilingual programs are maximized
Community Engagement:
- Serving as a trusted liaison between families, the community, and campus, to build strong relationships and ensure operational decisions are communicated effectively;
- Overseeing campus events, ensuring they are well-executed and aligned with school and district priorities.
Attendance:
- Driving campus efforts to exceed a 95% average daily attendance (ADA) by partnering with culture, academics and families;
- Developing targeted strategies for Tier 2 and Tier 3 attendance interventions;
- Leading consistent attendance committee meetings in order to implement a campus-wide strategy to achieve ADA benchmarks and meet persistence goals.
Safety & Security
- Ensuring the campus achieves a Tier 1 rating (90% or above) on the Safety & Security (S&S) Operations Scorecard;
- Implementing and overseeing emergency operating procedures, including training for staff and students and acting as Incident Commander in crisis response;
- Conducting regular campus safety walkthroughs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
Budget & Fiscal Stewardship
- Maintaining campus financial health by monitoring spending strategies and operating at or under budget;
- Managing school-based financial operations, including payroll, purchasing, and revenue tracking;
- Overseeing procurement and timely delivery of materials and supplies, ensuring resources are maximized and aligned with organizational financial goals.
Team Leadership
- Hiring, training, and managing approximately 4-6 campus operations staff to execute tasks with excellence;
- Elementary: Receptionist, Registrar, Operations Coordinator, Nurse
- Fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability within the campus operations team offering clear expectations and timely feedback;
- Partnering with instructional leaders to align operational priorities with student achievement goals.
Business Continuity
- Overseeing the creation and implementation of accurate master schedules for students and staff before key deadlines;
- Elementary: Account for programming needs such as monolingual, bilingual or self-contained instruction and growing grade levels.
- Managing the PTO approval process and ensure coverage for every classroom or duty position;
- Utilizing innovative systems and processes, leveraging technology and data, to enhance operational efficiency and staff productivity;
- Ensuring operational readiness for the start of the school year and a strong finish by:
- Meeting all enrollment, hiring and onboarding deliverable goals;
- Meeting facility readiness and closeout goals and timelines;
- Successfully managing campus-level school deliverables and in-service presentations.

THE MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution required.
- 3-5 years of experience in business, operational, or school-based leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in managing systems, budgets, and team performance.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends
- Proficiency in analyzing data and leveraging technology to optimize processes.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operational initiatives and meet ambitious goals.

THE PERKS
- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option or a $24 monthly option that includes $50 YES Prep Paid Health Savings Account contribution, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
