The Role
Ready to take the lead on impactful transport projects across Queensland?
As an Experienced Engineer – Roads & Highways, you’ll bring strong design capability and practical project management skills to a diverse portfolio of small to medium-scale infrastructure projects. You’ll take ownership of analysis and design tasks, ensuring all deliverables meet relevant Australian Standards, client expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Deliver high-quality analysis and design outcomes aligned with technical standards and client requirements
Independently undertake key technical tasks across multiple projects
Apply project management principles to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Prepare technical reports and proposals for small to medium projects
Monitor scope and risk while effectively using business systems
Build and manage strong client relationships (internal and external)
Collaborate within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment
About You
Suitable applicants will be/have:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
6+ years of experience in roads and highways design
Solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards and specifications
Strong project management and organisational skills
Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information
A proactive, client-focused mindset
Excellent time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities
Confidence working independently while contributing positively to team success
Proficiency across relevant engineering software and business systems
Awareness of project management, WHS management and CRM principles
A developing capability in safety in design and risk identification
