ABOUT THE ROLE
At ITS, we move fast, own our results and genuinely care about the people who make it all happen. Our approach to HR isn’t like the average company. Our growing HR team works alongside the business leaders to support our greatest asset – our people. We’re looking for an HR Specialist who shows up hungry to learn, takes initiative and thrives in change and adversity. The HR Specialist is a key business partner, integrated into the business to provide expertise, coaching, guidance and coordination. In this role, you’ll be the go to person for employee relations, help keep our facilities running smoothly and play an hands-on role in leading and impacting our culture, every day.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted, accessible resource for team members navigating workplace challenges, questions, or concerns.
- Support managers with coaching, documentation, and guidance on performance and conduct matters.
- Conduct thorough, fair, and timely investigations into employee complaints or policy concerns.
- Help maintain a culture of open communication and psychological safety across the organization.
- Partner with leadership to proactively identify and address employee relations trends before they escalate.
- Provide support to a variety of HR initiatives, leadership development, and organizational development needs across the organization.
- Develop and implement coaching plans, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and developmental plans along with leaders.
- Manage the exit process and appropriate documentation.
Facility Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our office environment to ensure it's safe, functional, and reflects the ITS standard.
- Responsible for leading all aspects of vendor management, including sourcing vendors, negotiating agreements and rates, managing vendors on site and ensure vendors demonstrate the ITS Way.
- Coordinate with vendors, building management, and internal stakeholders to address facility needs quickly.
- Manage office supply inventory, office furniture, and space planning as the team grows.
- Own the new hire workspace setup process so every first day feels welcoming and ready.
- Identify and lead facility improvement initiatives that support productivity and employee well-being.
- Responsible for all facility inquiries including repairs, deliveries, security, requests and enhancements.
- Acts as the point of contact with property management.
- Negotiates all facilities contracts.
- Responsible for managing the first impression of ITS facilities including overall ownership of how our office looks on a day-to-day basis.
- Makes all facility decisions with a focus on frugality.
Culture and Recognition:
- Help plan and execute company culture initiatives, team events, and team member engagement activities.
- Champion the ITS Way – honest, adaptable, committed.
- Drive and evolve ITS’ team member recognition programs.
- Responsible for ITS swag. Manages swag requests for customer visits, employee giveaways, etc. and works closely with Marketing team on inventory and ordering.
WHAT YOU BRING
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Industrial Organization Psychology or related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources.
- Hands on exposure to employee relations.
- A genuine passion for culture and people – you find energy in working with others.
- Strong communication skills – you can deliver honest and direct feedback with care and provide context to others to develop their skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity in a growing organization – you can build the bike while riding it.
- Basic knowledge of employment law and HR compliance fundamentals.
- Basic HRIS and HR tools experience with the ability to learn new system quickly.
- Experience in vendor coordinator is a plus.
