SNV Vietnam’s Transforming the Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development (TRVC) is a pioneering initiative and flagship project for SNV in the region. TRVC works with the private sector to introduce low-emission and climate resilient rice practices into the Mekong Delta. The project is amongst the first of its kind in Vietnam to mobilize pay-for-results as catalytic to incentivize private sector to scale low-emission and sustainable rice farming with smallholders’ farmers; and the international verification (MRV) system with a view to registration on the voluntary carbon market.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and capable GEDSI Advisor to support the implementation of the exciting flagship TRVC that runs until 2027. We are looking for an individual with excellent project management, demonstrated experience in working with the private sector and integrating GEDSI into value chain development, and a keen interest in carbon markets, working with stakeholder engagement.

Program Summary
In the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, SNV Vietnam is implementing the project “Transforming the Rice Value Chain for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development“ (TRVC) in An Giang, and Dong Thap provinces. This exciting and innovative project aims to use a results-based financing mechanism to incentivize private enterprises in the rice value chain (RVC) to invest in scaling sustainable rice production among smallholder farmers (SHFs) and marketing domestically and internationally in the most rice intensive production provinces over five years (2022 2027). Job Purpose
The GEDSI Advisor will provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to ensure the effective integration of Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) across all components of the TRVC project. The role aims to drive systemic and sustainable change by embedding GEDSI principles into project design, implementation, monitoring, and partnerships, particularly within private sector engagement and value chain development.
The Advisor will support the project to enhance inclusive participation and equitable benefits for women, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups, while strengthening the capacity of project teams and partners to apply GEDSI in a practical and results-oriented manner. Through evidence-based approaches and cross-sector collaboration, the position will contribute to achieving transformative and inclusive development outcomes aligned with project and donor priorities.
Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) is a core pillar for ensuring the effectiveness, inclusiveness, and sustainability of the TRVC project. GEDSI Advisor plays a critical role in guiding the systematic integration of GEDSI across all stages of the project, from design to implementation and learning. This includes guiding GEDSI mainstreaming in program design and implementation, supporting enterprises and partners in adopting inclusive practices, strengthening the capacity of project stakeholders, and ensuring the effective integration of GEDSI within monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems. The Advisor will also facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders, contribute to knowledge and learning management, and promote the use of evidence-based approaches to achieve inclusive and tangible outcomes.
Under the leadership of the Team Leader and in collaboration with Project Coordinator and Project team, GEDSI Advisor will be responsible for the following activities:
1. Provide strategic leadership for GEDSI integration
2. Lead GEDSI capacity building and knowledge development
3. Coordinate the implementation of provincial GEDSI Coordination Program
4. Lead GEDSI integration in Monitoring, reporting, and learning (MEL) Framework
5. Knowledge management, learning and communications
