We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Quality Inspector with manufacturing expertise to make a real impact supporting the quality control team.
There is no such thing as a typical day however your responsibilities would include:
• Carry out inspections on materials, components, and finished products to make sure everything meets drawings, specifications and customer or international quality standards
• Check quality at every stage from incoming goods through to final dispatch
• Read and interpret technical drawings or other engineering documentation to make sure everything is correct with purchase order requirements
• Help keep us compliant with industry standards like ISO, EN, and rail safety requirements
• Record findings clearly and keep quality systems up to date
• Spot issues early, raise non-conformances, and support improvements via corrective actions
• Work closely with customer service, projects, procurement and supply chain teams to solve problems and improve quality
• Make sure inspection tools are calibrated and used correctly at all times
The kind of things that will help you stand out in this role:
• Proven experience in a quality inspection role or significant experience within engineering or manufacturing, ideally within the rail, aerospace, or heavy industry sectors
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
• Experience identifying and managing non-conformances and corrective actions
