Your New Role
Pay Range: $22.96 - $28.70 / hour; based on experience.
Hours: Varied shifts
- Monday - Thursday: 4 AM - 12 AM
- Friday: 4 AM - 10 PM
- Saturday - Sunday: 6 AM - 8 PM
Responsibilities:
The Assistant General Manager works closely with the GM, leading by example, onboarding and training new staff members, tackling member interactions with a smile, and ensuring our inventory is spot-on. By overseeing daily operations and motivating your team, you'll ensure every day at Chuze Fitness is a fantastic experience for everyone!
- Maintain a hospitable environment for all members and guests, providing information on membership offerings, fitness programs, facilitating club tours, and assisting with club amenities and equipment functions
- Oversee and work alongside the team in daily cleaning tasks throughout the club, membership sign-ups, retail displays and transactions, and making smoothies (at clubs with Chuze Blends)
- Support the development of Operations and Kids Club employees, collaborating with the GM to recruit incredible new talent for your team, and foster continuous growth through authentic conversations, performance reviews, and coaching documentation
- Facilitate front desk operations, completing membership sign-ups and retail transactions, answering phones, and supporting member inquiries
- Manage and guide your team through elevated member concerns and emergent facilities issues, determining the proper course of action and implementing improvements to minimize disruptions to the club operations
- Maintain strong cross-departmental communication and rapport with fitness, maintenance, and Home Office departments and processes
- Complete administrative tasks such as reporting, email management, club scheduling, and inventory maintenance

Your Skills:
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts regularly or as needed
- Leadership and communication skills to cultivate a positive environment and develop a strong team
- Capacity to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Organized and accountable, able to set, reach, and prioritize goals
- Team-based mindset with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently continuing education
- Previous experience in the fitness industry
- Bilingual in Spanish
Physical Abilities:
- Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
- Walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movement
- Standing for long periods
- Phone and computer operations
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
