Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey as a Risk professional in Business Risk within Business and Commercial Banking? Our BCB SA Coverage Risk Graduate Programme offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
The aim of our 18-month graduate programme is to equip you with the skills and experiences deemed necessary to set you up for becoming a skilled Risk Practitioner within the Business and Commercial Banking segment of Standard Bank, with guidance and support from Senior Executives and Managers who run the Risk Management portfolios.
Through a series of rotations, you will learn how risk is managed in the bank and gain extensive experience in a wide range of areas within Business and Commercial Banking across South Africa.

Key responsibilities:
Support the strategic management of the BCB risk governance function by proactively ensuring the regular review, updating, and assessment of the policy framework to align with Group Standards and Policies, as well as best practices relating to applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
Postgraduate qualification (recently completed or completing in 2026):
BCom:
Postgraduate to be completed by 31 December 2026.
