Gas South is seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial & Industrial Sales Executive to join our dynamic sales team. Your role will revolve around spotting and engaging potential new customers using inside sales techniques, occasionally meeting them face-to-face.

Additional Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Find potential natural gas customers through research, lead databases, and referrals.
- Initiate contact through cold-calls, emails, and other methods to spark interest, qualify leads, and close sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with ongoing campaigns.
Sales Presentations:
- Deliver effective sales presentations via phone, in-person meetings, and online platforms to educate customers about our natural gas services.
- Tailor presentations to match the needs and preferences of each potential client.
- Utilize multimedia resources to enhance the impact of your presentations.
Relationship Building:
- Establish solid relationships with clients, grasping their energy requirements and aligning our energy products accordingly.
- Provide exceptional post-sale support to foster long-term customer loyalty.
Consultative Selling:
- Listen actively to customers, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to fit.
- Share expert product knowledge to guide customers in making informed decisions.
- Leverage customer feedback to fine-tune your consultative approach.
Sales Quota Achievement:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and prospecting goals.
- Look for opportunities to upsell extended contract offerings and cross-sell to existing customers through referrals.
- Collaborate with peers to share successful strategies for exceeding quotas.
CRM Utilization:
- Keep customer information and interactions up to date in the CRM system.
- Use Salesforce CRM data to analyze sales trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Help streamline CRM processes by providing feedback on usability and functionality.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners at all levels.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer care, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Share customer feedback to contribute to product and service enhancements.
- Participate in regular team meetings to foster a culture of open communication and shared insights.
Face-to-Face Sales:
- Conduct in-person sales meetings around 15% of the time.
- Travel to industry events and conferences to build face-to-face relationships with potential leads.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven sales experience, preferably in a related industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for face-to-face meetings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Proficiency in using CRM software for lead management and sales tracking.

Physical Requirements
- Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation while performing computer-based tasks and collaborating with colleagues.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers.
- Keyboarding: Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard and mouse, requiring finger dexterity and hand coordination.
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk within the office environment, such as when attending meetings, interacting with colleagues, or visiting different departments.
- Driving: Ability to drive to the office 2-3 days per week.
- Requires visual and auditory acuity for effective communication, document review, and use of office technology. Ability to listen and discern voice calls from customers with varying accents and English proficiency. Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry material, files, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, such as when organizing documents or setting up for meetings. Ability to reach for items stored in cabinets or shelves, both above and below shoulder height.
- Ability to work in typical office conditions, which may include exposure to noise, artificial lighting, and climate-controlled environments.
