2nd Shift: Slaughter Plant Plant

Dept. 101 - Live Hanger

Shift Hours:  2:30 pm - EOS

Pay Rate: $ 19.00 per hour

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department.  Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required; Receives chickens before entering the production area; Hangs live birds in the shackles in a humane manner; Rotate in position cycle as instructed; Sorts out DOA’s (Dead on Arrival’s) and leaves on belt; Understands Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements; Responsible for any and all directives set forth by Senior Management. and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner. Production workers are required to stand for a period of time, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms.  The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-40 POUNDS. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
